Werk Pray Slay was held in Atlanta Georgia November 3-5, 2017 at the Atlanta Marriot Marquis and themed “Her Over Everything”.
The visionary behind it all ๐๐พ Koereyelle Dubois, founder of The Single Wives Club and personal brand Koereyelle (She’s so dope!) The weekend began with a Mastermind for VIP guests– One that I MISSED because my friends bag was lost at the airport ๐ another story for another time!
Friday night was all glitz and glamour with glam Night Out! This was a night to mingle but also included wine, manicures, massages and facials! After the frustration of being at the airport for hours, going straight to to mall to find her clothes and checking into the hotel late, I was overwhelmed and opted out of wearing my glam party outfit I had prepared. I threw on some leather pants and a T-shirt sporting my logo and was good to go! Good choice because as most of us were connecting online, we hadn’t met in person! One look at my logo and people knew who I was โ๏ธ
Koereyelle and I at Glam Night Out!
Saturday was a full day of Mastermind, “Be Your Own Boss” (BYOB) breakout sessions. I chose “How to get out of your own way with Candice Nicole, How to live a passionate life with Precious of Passionate Living LLC and Blogging influence with Kyshira Moffett. All were great sessions!
During the breakout sessions, we also got to support small black owned businesses!
Saturday night was also an awards gala in which Monique Rodriguez, founder of Mielle Organics was presented with the Claire Huxtable award!
Sunday ended the weekend with an unforgettable brunch hosted by the Wives Society. Mannnn I have never been to a brunch like this- first off the food was slamming! Games such as “date him or diss him” was a hit as well as learning valuable life lessons on marriage and relationships from the happy couples panel!
See I’m trying not to give too much away! Just know it was an amazing weekend and I encourage any women with a vision to attend one.
Here are a few key points I took away from the event:
1 Live everyday with intent- No, everyone has not found their purpose or what their passionate about but that doesn’t stop you from attempting to live intentionally! Wake up everyday with one goal in mind! Hey if that goal is to save $5.00 by making your coffee at home rather that buying it at Starbucks, and you do it- that was your intent for the day! Stop walking around aimlessly, you’ll never figure out your purpose that way!
2 Celebrate the small wins- Don’t be so caught up on the big goal that you forget those small steps are going to get you to your big goal- be proud of those shits!
3 Know the power of your influence- Be careful about what you post on social media.. people are watching and you never know who you are influencing and in what way!
And many more tips and tools to remain an empowered woman and to grow my brand and business!
